Renfe commuter pole

Renfe commuter pole

It is made in HO scale. For some years Renfe (or Adif, I'm not sure who has been) has been incorporating to all the stations of the existing suburban networks in different parts of our geography, some posts, obelisks, milestones, towers or whatever we want to call them, with the logo of Cercanías at the top. In theory they should serve to signal that the station is there, at the foot of that sign. These poles consist of a triangular prism-shaped structure resting on three legs. They are quite slender and their height is variable being more or less and by eye, between 10 and 18 meters. Their design is variable although there are basically two types: Post with tubular structure formed by three posts joined together by horizontal uprights on which a rectangular mesh is attached. These were the first to be assembled and carry the commuter logo on the top and sometimes, accompanying it, you can see the old Renfe logo. Post constructed of perforated sheet metal whose vertical walls are concave and which rests on the ground by means of six legs grouped two by two. These are much more modern and also bear the commuter logo but with the colors reversed, i.e., the symbol in red surrounded by a white circle. On these poles, when appropriate, the Renfe logo is also incorporated, but in red and enclosed in the white circle. At night they are illuminated with light sources located inside them, producing a very pleasant effect.
