Renewable Energy Demonstration Raspberry Pi Cabinet
thingiverse
I've remixed the NRG Energy (San Diego) Server Cabinet Blanking Panels concept. My remix is an interactive Renewable Energy demonstration Raspberry Pi case with a process diagram about wind solar hybrid electricity generation. It contains many recycled elements. This design has a fully functional and adjustable (reversed direction to use as a cooling fan) DC motor, which I obtained from a broken RC helicopter. The slide switch is also from the same source. The cables and LEDs are from an old PC case that was discarded. I used a lot of creative thinking to find suitable parts for my model. The display can be found on YouTube by searching for "display." I searched online for similar items to fit my design, such as the DC motor, which is available on eBay. To set up this project, you'll need to add the following line to /boot/config.txt: dtoverlay=pi3-act-led,gpio=26. After rebooting, it should work. For the street lamp setup, simply type gpio mode 0 out in the terminal and then gpio write 0 1 to turn it on. Here is a list of materials I used: * DC motor (25000RPM, 3-7V) from eBay * Slide switch (SS12F44G4-1P2T) from eBay * LEDs (Transparent High-Quality LEDs in various sizes and colors) from eBay * Reset button (8.5 x 8.5mm x 18mm Momentary Tactile Tact-Push Button Switch DIP Black Cap) from eBay * Power bank (222312659492) from eBay * Cooling fan (from an old graphic card) * Display (from YouTube) Note: I used a lot of recycled parts, but I also searched online for similar items that fit my design.
