Here's a design for an absolute orientation sensor using Adafruit parts - a project that lets you stream data out via USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, or FONA. I've already got the electronics and software set up based on Adafruit code, and it works like a charm straight from their website. Now I just need to add inductive charging and comms software to turn it into a fully functional sealed unit. Feel free to take my work and do what you want with it - if you're interested in using it commercially, just let me know and we can discuss the details of a commercial license.
