The Renault Voiturette Type B 1899, meaning 'little car,' was a two-seater model that emerged as one of the first sedan cars ever produced. Louis Renault collaborated with coachbuilder Labourdette to incorporate numerous luxury features and a direct drive gearbox for enhanced efficiency and noise reduction. The Type B featured a roof for increased driver and passenger comfort, along with improved suspension. Like its predecessor, the Type A, it won several motor sports trophies in 1899 and 1900. It was equipped with a De Dion Bouton single-cylinder 450cc engine, producing 2.1kW of power with a top speed of approximately 35 km/h. The manual transmission had a 3-speed gearbox with reverse, driving the rear axle via a propeller shaft, offering a top speed of 45 km/h. It had a length of 1900mm, width of 1150mm, height of 2020mm, a wheelbase of 1164mm and weighed 360 kg.
