Renault Samara with Parallel Architecture
grabcad
A novel sports car is being developed, drawing inspiration from the new Renault Alpine but with enhanced habitability and aerodynamics. Parallel Architecture is employed to place the engine parallel to the driver's legs beneath the central dashboard. This design innovation also moves the base of the windscreen forward, increasing cabin volume, visibility, and improving aerodynamics. The car features an inline mid-centre positioned engine for optimal narrowness, replacing the original V6 at the rear. Compared to Renault Alpine 110-50, this new design offers significantly increased habitability as the entire rear area is now a cargo space. Air intakes at the back of the car are eliminated, further enhancing aerodynamics. Lastly, with the mid-centre positioned engine, weight distribution is improved to an approximate 50:50 ratio, resulting in better car balance. This innovative design concept is the brainchild of Raul Juanatey and José Francisco Rosales @fjrosales82.
