The Renault Laguna 2 key card reader relies on two small plastic components that trigger microswitches when a key card is inserted. These components are prone to malfunction, often causing issues with the ignition system. When one fails, the radio won't turn on as soon as the card is halfway in and starting the car requires holding down the Start button for several seconds. This model serves as a direct replacement for the faulty component, requiring no adhesive or other fixatives. It can be easily inserted into the narrow gap beside the key reader, where it will be securely held by the motherboard.
