Renault Clio 3 clutch master cylinder balljoint seat
thingiverse
This is a solution to a widespread issue found in Renault cars produced from approximately 2007 onwards that utilize a plastic clutch master cylinder featuring a delicate nylon white balljoint seat. The problem becomes apparent when the nylon insert breaks, causing the clutch pedal to click when pressed. So far, I have not discovered any available replacement parts for sale, so I created this 3D printed fix, which works effectively in my vehicle. Renault's response was that I must replace the entire clutch master cylinder assembly; however, this is my reply to them for not providing affordable components and instead charging high prices for a possible five-minute repair, had they supplied these inserts as standalone parts. To produce this part, print it with 100% infill and full supports. After cleaning up the supports, cut a few lines in the seat to allow it to flex and click into place, as shown in the attached image. Additionally, if printed upright, it will break at the clip's flexing points; therefore, print it in the orientation demonstrated in the picture. Feel free to modify, adjust, distribute, or use this design in any manner you see fit. If I have helped save your day, consider showing your appreciation with a tip.
