The presented solution is the one that I use Objective: Assembly aid device for pieces on their base Application presented: Aid for detaching 3D printed pieces from an FFF type printer This tool offered is a alternative to using a cutter or classical spatula for detaching pieces in order to avoid risks of cuts for the user and hooking of the plate. It's about an aid device that allows facilitation of piece detachment from their base. One feature of this device is being able to use a commercial screwdriver or equivalent tool to grasp the piece, and serving it as a lever without risking damage to the plate. The device has a stretchy zone ending with a upper notch opposite to a lower one. This allows pinching screwdrivers with diameters ranging from 3 to 5 mm. The upper and lower notches also assure holding of the screwdriver. Underneath, there's an aggressive base support area on the tool plate. The device operates under lever principle where a grip at one end generates a force that helps separation of piece from its base. Screwdrivers or other tools used can be easily inserted into or removed from the tool to find their dedicated uses. Note: A slight sharpening of the tool contact area with the piece aids in catching it. Materials required: Screwdriver (ø 3 to 5 approx.) or equivalent tool The presented solution is the one that I use.
