Removable 'touwtje door de brievenbus'
thingiverse
If you want your kids to be able to enter or exit the house quickly when they're playing outside, consider placing a rope through the mailbox for them to grasp. However, if you have a round doorknob like I do, this solution isn't feasible. To resolve this issue, I designed a simple detachable handle that can be installed on my door. The removable aspect is deliberate since I don't want it attached at all times. Imagine a scenario where unwanted visitors might find it easy to enter my home; in that case, I'd prefer not to make entry too convenient for anyone but my kids. Once removed, only a small portion of the handle remains attached to the doorknob. I'm confident that this device should work with most door handles, given their standardization across many models. On 10-10-2015, I upgraded the arm of this device because the initial design wasn't strong enough in the long term. When printing this design: Rafts are not a requirement, but feel free to use them if needed. Supports for this model are also not necessary. A note from the designer suggests printing this object using three perimeters (or shells) to add extra strength. Also, it's advisable to print the central 'nut' portion with 100% infill for enhanced stability and security.
