I needed a solution to contain the mixer while processing large quantities of garlic at maximum speed, as they tend to scatter everywhere under those conditions (it's exhilarating and efficient for handling over a hundred heads). This design also serves an added purpose by covering the bowl when it's not in use, preventing unnecessary clutter from accumulating within. I frequently discover stray items that had slipped into the bowl.
