https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU-2Rbbev_8 Laser/torch pointer This is a remotely controlled arduino robot created with 3D printed parts and electronics. With only two servos, this robot can point any object in the X and Y axis. The amplitude of movement can be configured via Arduino code. You can control its movements by sending commands through your Smartphone, Tablet or PC WiFi. Its maximum control range is 60 meters, a considerable distance that has even been extended to 100 meters. Assembly info is available here: http://jjrobots.com/remotely-controlled-laser-pointer/ This project is an excellent way to get into the electronics and robotics world. The same electronics used in this robot are also employed in the iBoardbot and Brobot EVO, which can be found on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1069256 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1590702. If you're tired of the laser pointer, why not create an awesome iBoarbot? Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.16 Infill: 35% Notes: No support needed. How I Designed This: List of materials: The components list includes: An inexpensive laser/torch (like the one in the video) The 3D printed parts (case + servo supports) 2x SG90 SERVOS, which are quite standard and easy to obtain 12V power supply, which can range from 9 to 12 volts. A good option is a regular 9V battery B-ROBOT electronic brain shield v3.0 + Arduino Leonardo, the same electronics used in other jjRobots projects: Brobot and iBoardBot. All components can be purchased here: http://jjrobots.com/product/remotely-controlled-laser-pointer/ Assembly instructions: http://jjrobots.com/remotely-controlled-laser-pointer/ Another JJrobot: If you have created this torch pointer, you already possess the electronics and some of the ancillary elements to create your B-robot EVO and a iBoardbot! (yes, we have used the same items to create them ;-D ). Take a look at the B-robot EVO (The fastest self-balancing robot created with a 3D printer): http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1069256 And the iBoardbot! (an OPEN SOURCE internet remotely controlled drawing robot): http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1590702 All JJrobots are OPEN and can be modified as much as you want!
