This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/b99D1Dh9kGR I ran out of space on the Tinkercad page to add more description, so I added more here. The Tinkercad page has grouped parts colored for easier understanding. You can also make a copy on Tinkercad and ungroup parts to see how they're put together. Remote Manipulator (aka Hot Cell Manipulator) made out of 2x2 boards, designed for a lichtenberg wood burning activity open to the public. With more work, this could be a fun little activity at events all its own. The cylinders are rotation axes. The grouped parts need to be bolted together solidly. Weight might have to be added as counterweights so users don't have to lift as much weight. Inspired by this design: http://www.timhunkin.com/a162_nuclear-arm.htm And Grid Beam: http://www.gridbeam.com/ Read all Millimeter dimensions as inches. 2x2 dimensional lumber is actually 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch. Suggested additions: - Gripper/grabber - Wrist twist Please don't blame me if something goes wrong when used for actual hot cell manipulator.
