Since upgrading to a Tronxy X5S, I aimed to enhance the Titan extruders for 3mm and 1.75mm filament use. However, with 3mm filament, feed problems persisted, prompting me to create something that increases surface contact area while driving the filament. I utilized existing Titan parts wherever possible so spare parts could fit both extruders. Although I've finished drafting this design, I'm awaiting arrival of some bearings to complete it. Parts list: 4 x M3 Self-tapping screws (Cover) 8 x M3 (20mm) Bolts (Tensioner Bracket) 2 x M3 (20mm) Countersunk Bolts (Tensioner Bracket) 5 x M4 (8mm) Bolts Cap Head (U604ZZ Holder) 4 x M3 (8mm) Bolts (Nema 17) 5 x 1-7-15 Springs 5 x U604ZZ Bearings 5 x M4 (16mm) Hex Head bolts (Tensioner) 1 x 6mm PTFE (Titan) Groove mount Adaptor 10 x MR95ZZ (Titan) Bearings 5 x 66 Tooth (Titan) Gear 1 x 22 Tooth 12mm (Titan) Gear 1 x Nema 17 Stepper Motor 1 Cable Tie (To fix "Groove mount adaptor") 10 x M3 Half Nuts 3 x M4 Half Nuts Edit: I've replaced M4 bolts with countersunk ones for increased surface area, reducing the likelihood of them pushing through the plastic. To address pressure on tensioner bolts, I recommend using nylon filament. A strengthened version is also available for printing in PLA, utilizing M4 x 15mm penny washers for added support. Edit 2: Due to frequent print stalling during first-layer prints, I've upgraded to a 5-drive gear model. This modification appears effective, and I've successfully printed with the Tronxy X5S using 3mm filament.
