I wanted to add a temperature gauge to my Smart 451, so I installed a low-cost 60mm Chinese stepper gauge called "Defi" in my clock housing. The electronics couldn't fit inside the housing, so I placed them underneath the dashboard in a separate container. This setup allows you to install any stepper gauge in the original Smart pod.
