Remote Control Dragster that my daughter Anna built. Suggest checking out the REMOTE CONTROL webpages for more information. Building this project can be done using either simple small Wheels designed here, or by using Axles and Wheels from Legos as shown in the photo above. The frame is created with 2 Square Parts, while the Struts are not necessary but were added as extra parts. This set of Struts was custom composed by me, and they have a 3D shape that differs from Meccano Parts which are flat and paper-like based. Despite their different design, these Struts are still compatible with Meccano and Motor Converter Parts. Parts included in this project are: Motor Gear Mounts, Motor Mounting Sleeves, Jaws, ClawNails, Feet, Curves, etc. Also look for the SHARKOCTOPUS Robotic and ROBOSHARK models, which are compatible with the Meccano and Motor Parts mentioned earlier. These include: Meccano Base Parts Plates Struts Angles, Geared MOTORS to Meccano and Lego Conversion - Kit Parts for additional parts. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Mendel Rafts: Yes Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm - 0.8mm Nozzle Tips I printed these on a Mendel RepRap with 1.75mm fiber, using a 0.8mm Nozzle Tip and 0.5mm Layer Height setting. Any nozzle tip from 0.2mm to 0.8mm should work fine. Printing took between 3-10 minutes per part. To print properly, the Backbone and Belly Ring should be rotated 90-degrees to have a ball-round surface on the table. Rafts are suggested for these parts. Be careful when removing the parts as they may be a little thin and fragile. Post-Printing: Some Parts may need filing to finish due to burrs. If the bolts seem loose, a glue gun can help secure them in place. How I Designed This: I used TinkerCad to design this project and built it with my custom Meccano Parts.
