I was fed up with constantly searching for the TV and sound system remotes, never knowing where they were hidden. Since we don't have an end table or coffee table, they often got lost in/under/behind the couch or sat on top of the entertainment center next to the TV, which completely defeated the purpose of a remote control. To solve this problem, I created a simple wall-mounted remote control caddy that now keeps them within easy reach at all times.
