I was constantly misplacing my remote control for the back porch lights. Having spare wall plate space gave me the opportunity to design a solution. The initial version's screw holes didn't align properly, so I made adjustments by moving them 13 millimeters closer together. It was surprising to learn that standard sizes don't apply to light switch plates.
