Remix from two other spool holders and slightly modified, a main holder rides smoothly on two internal bearings. Several spool sizes can accommodate this setup. UPDATE: A new Spool Main assembly (v2) has been added that strengthens the arm as well as where nut inserts reside. If planning to print out of PLA, recommend using V2 over the original. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20-50 Notes: If your slicer has a "Supports from build plate only" option, turn that on. Post-Printing BOM Additional hardware is needed to assemble this: 3 x M8 nuts (5/16th also works) - http://amzn.to/2hdztwf Some 8mm threaded rod (5/16th also works) - http://amzn.to/2gNYK2V 2x 608ZZ bearings - http://amzn.to/2g6naFQ Assembly Attach the threaded rod to the main arm assembly, with a nut in back and a nut in front, securing the rod to the arm. Push a 608 bearing into each side of the inner spool threaded assembly. Slide assembly onto threaded rod and secure loosely into place with another nut. Assembly Video Optional Steps Sanding down the grips on the spool holder can be beneficial as they may be semi sharp off the bed. Using 600-800 grit sandpaper around the edge of the grips helps.
