Remixed Minimal Waves
thingiverse
I'm excited to see how this remix turns out, as I've never done one before either. I fell in love with Isi8Bit's Minimal Waves earrings and wanted to give them a fresh twist by altering the design. To add depth, I cut out the center of the original design and reworked it into a new version with two distinct wave levels. Next, I printed the new design using different colors to make each layer stand out more. I used three unique colors and made three color changes in total. Since I have Simplify 3D, I was able to easily implement these changes by modifying my G-code script as follows: M600; Color Change, Z = (I started with Color 1, changed to Color 2, then Color 3, then back to Color 1). If you're doing this manually, remember to change the color before layer 2, layer 5, and layer 8. Please note that your design's slicing settings might be different from mine, so you'll need to adjust the color changes accordingly. I also tweaked the design by stretching it out to create longer earrings without increasing their width. Finally, I decided on a thickness of 2mm (which resulted in 9 layers) because I believe jewelry should be delicate and thin.
