Remix of V-Slot cover for adjustable fit
thingiverse
**2/20/2019 Update** I recently discovered that the dimension across the V-Slot I was using doesn't match for the C-Beam, so I created a separate version specifically designed for the C-Beam, **C-Beam_ChannelCover_Rev27.scad**. Using OpenSCAD, I remixed the design to fine-tune the fit. The file includes several variables that you can adjust to suit your needs. I also included a test print with 5 different tightness settings, which helped me determine the best default setting for my setup. Additionally, I provided an STL file of 3 - 165mm Length covers, giving you a total length of 495mm and some extra wiggle room in 500mm extrusions. The 3 - 165mm STL file takes approximately 25 minutes to print and weighs about 0.26 oz. I used eSUN PLA+ with 20% infill and a layer height of 0.2mm for the print settings. To get started, I recommend printing the **V-Slot_ChannelCover_Test_Rev26.stl** test print first to see which fit works best. Before removing the covers from your printer, mark each one with a sharpie in case you're unsure which is which.
