I made some adjustments to the files to make them more adaptable to a 75 percent scale. I also added extra M8 and M6 nuts with two different tolerances in case my default .4mm tolerance is too tight for you. The full-size version takes about two hours to print, while the 75 percent scale takes about an hour. A friend and I recently discussed this topic, so I decided to see if there was a three-dimensional printing design available for it. I made some minor modifications to the design that worked better for me. 1. I added a threaded top for the slider so it wouldn't come loose and changed it from M5.7mm shaft to M8 for a better thread fit. 2. I modified the arm to accommodate the larger M8 screw top. 3. I beveled the top edges of the dovetail joints in the guide, eliminating the need to file the edges. I used this thread library for the design: http://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads/. To run the openscad file, you'll need to download this for the **Sliders_WithNuts_Rev8.scad** file. I used the M8 screw and changed the **Thread_Angle** from the standard 30 degrees to 40 degrees for better printing results. I also used a .4mm tolerance fit between the screw and nut connection. For the one-hundred percent scale version, print one each of the following: * TrammelGuide2_Mod_Rev8.stl * Arm2_Mod_Rev12.stl * Sliders_WithNuts_Rev8.stl Optionally, if the nuts are too tight, you can print one of these: * M8Nuts_T5.stl (T5 = .5mm tolerance between threads) * M8Nuts_T6.stl (T6 = .6mm tolerance between threads) For the 75 percent scale version, print one each of the following: * TrammelGuide2_Mod_34Scale_Rev8.stl * Arm2_Mod_34Scale_Rev12.stl * Sliders_WithNuts_34Scale_Rev8.stl Optionally, if the nuts are too tight, you can print one of these: * M6Nuts_T5.stl (T5 = .5mm tolerance between threads) * M6Nuts_T6.stl (T6 = .6mm tolerance between threads) The openscad files and STL files, along with photos, are included. Print one each of the STL files. I printed at 20 percent infill, but minimum infill should be sufficient.
