Remix of the Raspberry Pi4 fan and header cover by marigu
thingiverse
I'm drawn to Marigu's innovative Raspberry Pi4 fan and header cover design, but I wanted a way to visually confirm whether the fans were actually spinning. To achieve this, I had to enlarge the holes to get a clear view of them. To simplify the process, I placed a white dot on each fan, allowing me to instantly determine if they're in motion or not. A glance at the pictures will reveal that a stationary fan shows the white dot prominently. As an added bonus, I took this opportunity to repair the standoffs while working on the project. Initially, I created one with slightly larger holes, but I soon realized it needed even more room for my aging eyes to comfortably spot the dots when a fan is stopped. I'm including both designs: the one marked "BH" features the bigger holes, although I haven't printed that version yet – it's on standby in case I decide to revisit it later.
