Remix of Steam Train Whistle
thingiverse
I carefully shaped the mouthpiece, smoothed out the top surface and drilled a lanyard hole. On mine I made for my toddler: - I engraved his full name and our phone numbers on it in case he gets lost. We keep him within arms reach at all times, but if we get separated and I ever hear a "choo choo" I know he's looking for us. - I highly doubt he'll put the thing down, so the phone numbers will be with him if someone else locates him first. - Train whistles are slightly less annoying than standard survival whistles! I hope your kids love it! Make sure there are no holes in your layers or it won't work as advertised. A layer height of .20 or smaller is probably best. Maybe print it on the side to reduce the need for supports and give the mouthpiece a smoother finish underneath. (4/24/19) I added a center hole version since it was hard for him to get both slanted holes in his mouth at once.
