Remix of Moby Lick - With Base and Remesh - Challenging Print
thingiverse
This is a remix, and I had to start from scratch because the original just wouldn't print no matter how hard I tried - it would consistently fail. I'm really impressed with this model, so I decided to give it another go. After some tinkering, I settled on a simple round base and remeshed it. The print settings were as follows: 0.40mm nozzle, 0.164mm layer height, 60mm/sec print speed, and 10% infill. I also went with a 1.4mm shell for the outer walls. The model shown in the photos was printed at 150% of the STL file's original size - it's roughly 100mm tall. Supports were absolutely everywhere, but I set the angle to 50° to help things along. I have to admit, this was one of the most challenging prints I've ever attempted, thanks to all the necessary supports. Despite the difficulties, it was still a blast to print!
