Remix of Duet3D Indirect Laser Filament Monitor Casing
thingiverse
Some tweaks were made to the ingenious laser filament monitor housing design created by Brunoforte. Part 1-2 holds the pcb of the monitor. To accommodate my v2 board, I had to expand the slot for the components a bit. Additionally, I added a small window so that you can see the LED blinking. Part 2-1 carries the upper bearing. I widened the slot to allow the bearing to spin freely without restriction. It is not required to use washers. Ensure that the bearing/bolt is fully seated and the bearing moves smoothly. Jaw5a holds the lower bearing. To make the hinge stronger, I added 1mm to the base of Jaw5a. The bearing was lowered by 0.3mm so that the hinge only deflects slightly - enough to grasp the filament. Also, I expanded the slot that holds the ptfe tube and made it slightly corrugated to grip the tube securely. Originally, the design squashed the tube a bit, preventing the filament from running smoothly.
