Human: Remix of DIY Dremel CNC by Nikodem Bartnik. **It appears some STL files may not have loaded properly on Thingiverse. I've reuploaded the missing ones. If you have less than 34 STL files, please download the entire package again.** Main differences: - This design is meant to be used with a base made of plywood or MDF and can accommodate a compartment below the bed. - A Raspberry PI zero W stand has been added. - Y motors are now located at the front. - The mounts for Y motors require 40mm long Nema17 motors, which have connectors facing downwards. - An aluminum plate has been included to stiffen the entire Y carriage. - Each mount on the opposite side of X and Y axes features two opposing bearings. - Drag chains have been added, along with endstops on all axes. The printed parts for Y and Z axes already have holes for wiring, eliminating any loose wires. With a 450x500mm base, you can achieve a working area of approximately 240x340mm. If you decide to create a compartment below the bed, ensure it is at least 58mm deep. This machine utilizes an Arduino UNO with a CNC shield V3. For more information on electronics and electrical connections, refer to [the original Nikodem's design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3004773). This project shares mechanical similarities with the original design. **Example of Size and Length of Elements** The machine was designed for a 450x500mm base. Assuming: - You have a base that is 500mm along the Y axis and 450mm along the X axis. - You will leave 35mm of X axis free for drag chains. - You will use part 1.01A and 40mm stepper motors on Y axis. You will need: - Y-rods: 2 x 12x460mm - Y-leadscrews: 2 x 8x450mm - X-rods: 2 x 12x400mm - X-leadscrew: 1 x 8x377mm - Z-rods: 2 x 12x160mm - Z-leadscrew: 1 x 8x145mm Leadscrew supports are designed to accommodate 608 bearings (7 in total: 4 for Y, 2 for X, and 1 for Z). For Y and Z carriages, you can use either two long (60mm) or four short (30mm) linear bearings. The X carriage requires four short bearings due to its wider design, necessitating 12 short ones in total.
