I was blown away by how a simple idea can be made to work, I love it! Given that I only have MK7 gears, I decided to re-design everything based on that using the CAD file from the ZIP, and at the same time make some improvements to make filament insertion easier. I'm tired of having to straighten it every single time. HTH Custom Section What I Changed I made just a few changes: Added two shaped cylinders to make filament insertion less difficult (see photos) Re-designed everything for MK7 gear (13mmH x 12mmW) Custom Section Update Final rework of all the components. Base: Added a 0.4mm thickness shim to the base to give more smoothness to the arm Enlarged the hole to 6mm push-fit Arm: Added a nail to make it easier to insert and extract filament Added a hole for accommodating a small spring to adjust the screw And finally... My custom base that will fit my future D-bot (work in progress).
