Remix of Center Bed Leveler for MPSM for Smaller Gaps
thingiverse
A custom redesign of auralgasm's "Center Bed Leveler for MP Select Mini" is presented, specifically tailored for re-leveling (ratcheting up) a warped print bed. This remake was necessitated by the original design's inability to fit under my own print bed, which I had lowered as far as possible to accommodate an aftermarket nozzle on the hot end. The primary reason for this redesign was to address the limited clearance under my printer's bed, thus benefiting others who may be facing similar constraints. To simplify modifications, I significantly reduced the poly count of the geometry, allowing for a more efficient iteration process. Differences in clearance height are illustrated through attached pictures, providing visual evidence of the design's adaptability. Key considerations for printing this remake include: Printing with ABS or PETg is recommended due to their thermal stability, whereas PLA is not suitable if you intend to heat the bed. A lower layer height is advisable to preserve screw threads; I employed 0.1mm as my chosen layer height, though a multiple of the printer's full-step length on the z-axis (0.04375 mm for the MP Select Mini) would be a more effective choice. When utilizing this leveler, it is essential to steer clear of both the bed's wiring and thermistor to ensure safe operation.
