Remix of 3D Print Monitor Case

thingiverse

I printed out the original design for this project from Thingiverse, specifically the case for thing #2884823. However, my solder joints extended too far onto the board, making it too thick to fit into the slotted cut comfortably. Instead of re-designing that one and widening the slots, I chose to remix thing #2937731. Since I used jumper wires instead of soldering them directly to the Wemos board, I needed a bit more room to stuff the wires inside the case, so this is what I came up with. To mount the LCD screen, I used 2 M2x8mm screws. This design fits the Wemos D1 Mini and the 0.96" OLED LCD Display perfectly. Initially, I was planning to add a back to it, but after installing the insides, I decided not to reprint without it. My pictures will look slightly different from the STL I uploaded due to this change. I left the code in there for anyone who might want to add that feature later. I printed these with esun PLA+, which has a bit more flexibility than regular PLA. If your material doesn't have some give to it, you might end up breaking the mounted slots that hold the Wemos D1 Mini.
