Remix Mini Monster Truck w/ Rotating Wheels
thingiverse
This is a remix of the Mini Monster Truck, completely overhauled to meet my needs. I had one major issue with the original design - it lacked rotating wheels, so I replaced them with Emmett's Gear Bearing, which works perfectly. To achieve this, I used the step files and Scad file provided for the bearing. I printed the tires using Maker Geeks PLA & Maker Flex PLA, and they turned out amazing. Here are my print settings: Printer Brand: MakerGear Printer: MakerGear M2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40% Notes: I didn't need any supports for my printer, but you might want to consider them if you're using a different model. Post-Printing: Designing this was a breeze. To modify the bearing, I simply resized it and added a few lines of code at the top: translate([-2,-2,17])cube(4,center); translate([0,0,15])cylinder(2,r=3.5,center); With these changes, the bearings became pegs that fit together perfectly when superglued. I decided to create separate car and truck bodies so users could customize them with their own designs. To design this project, I used Shapr3D on my iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil, which made the process incredibly easy.
