REMIX Life (or anything) counter for table-top games
thingiverse
UPDATE 10-Mar-20: Uploaded STL files for ring modifications. Printed five sets, all spinning smoothly. Tolerances might be a bit too loose, but overall I'm happy with the results. UPDATE 8-Feb-20: Printed five sets of these and number rings still don't spin well. Solved it by sanding inside edges. Modified STL files as well and need to print a test. Will update again with new model. UPDATE 3-Nov-19: Uploaded new clip with looser tolerances for better clipping results. Also found that printing each side individually yields better fitment results. If anyone has trouble, please comment. Made three so far with two updates and all fits perfect. Number rings need a chamfer on internal edges but I'm struggling to edit STL files. Instead, use an exacto blade to smooth out those edges and the rings glide and snap at each number like skates on ice. Don't forget to thank Scottimus for creating this counter. Remix of Scottimus's "Life (or anything) counter for table-top games" https://www.thingiverse.com/Scottimus I absolutely love the idea of this design for an "anything" counter. BUT, the tolerances on the model are not ideal and do not allow for smooth operation of the number rings. So I modified the spring ring for smooth and perfect operation. Also changed the tube to not have bumps on either end so if you want to use plastic cement, you'll have more surface area. Adjusted the tolerances on the clip, so if you use that, it has easier insertion. Might remix this again to be bolt together but I don't currently have any M4 bolts long enough to do the job. All three modified parts were tested for proper fitment and operation on my Prusa i3 MK3S using PrusaSlicer-2.1 and printed with Prusa PLA. Your results may vary.
