I merged two great designs into one. the original Hollow clock 2 by shiura is simple and uses easy to obtain parts. The remix by mjbudden fixed some weaknesses. The original gears were not smooth and could bind causing problems with the accuracy, the cover also hid the working of the gears. I had the Arduino from another clock project, so wanted to use them and the software from the original. I just noticed that jmcarles posted a remix https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5244162 The clock concept is really good, there are a number of implementations, I was more interested in getting it to work with reasonable accuracy - some of the remixes attempt to get the time tied to the internet. Have fun and try a few designs. These are great to make and not very expensive. Leave questions and I'll answer them.
