Remix - Gameboy Advance SP Enclosure
thingiverse
I've been impressed by this design on Thingiverse. The parts fit together seamlessly for the most part, screw holes align perfectly and everything is just as it should be. However, I encountered a few issues that needed addressing:\r\n\r\n1) The battery cage didn't make adequate contact.\r\n2) I wanted to keep the original charger, so I decided against soldering on a new one.\r\n\r\nGiven these problems, I made some minor adjustments by removing the stock battery mount and attaching the battery directly to the mainboard. Additionally, I created an opening in the back shell for easy access to the original connectors.\r\n\r\nThere's still one problem that hasn't been solved yet - the d-pad doesn't fit properly without being trimmed down. I'm experimenting with scaling the part to see if it can be made to work that way.\r\n(Edit: Scaling the d-pad to 90% seems to work well enough)
