I really love the design of this deluxe spool holder upgrade. A big advantage is that sideways holders can lead to jams when the spool runs low, causing filament to bend over at extreme angles against the spool wall. On the other hand, the deluxe spool holder requires either removing the top cover or cutting it open. I have now redesigned the hook attachment so you can use it without having to remove the top cover. To do this, simply push the cover upwards first and then hang the hanger in place just like the picture shows. After securing the spool on the holder with filament threaded through the guide, you should be able to push the back cover down into its proper position, leaving enough clearance for both the filament and the hangers. I also reduced the size of the axle so it can handle smaller spools - as long as their hubs are under 15mm in diameter, it should work just fine.
