[Remix] Cord Tensioner

<p>This is a cord tensioner for 4mm paracord. &nbsp;</p><p>It is a remix of a thing I found on Thingiverse by @cadfinger.</p><p><a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1486048">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1486048</a></p><p>It design is not meant for thinner cords. &nbsp;Slightly thicker cords may work but I haven't tested them. &nbsp;If you find success with thicker cords, please share it in the comments section.</p><p><strong>Features I've changed:</strong></p><ol><li>Removed rubber-band features because it was too small to be useful. &nbsp;The rubber-band tended to break anyways.</li><li>Added grooves on the tensioner body and cam to provide better “bite” into the cord. &nbsp;It works really well now.</li><li>Added handle feature to the cam so you can release the tension &nbsp;as needed.</li></ol><p><strong>Other things you'll need:</strong></p><ol><li>M3 lock nut</li><li>M3x8 socket head cap screw</li></ol><p>I recommend you print with PETG/ABS/ASA. &nbsp;PLA creeps under tension and will deform excessively to the point where the cam doesn't align with the tensioner body anymore. &nbsp;</p><p>If you are using this outdoors, print with ASA for better UV resistance; other materials will embrittle over time.</p><p>My use: to tie down plastic potted plant cover so that it slows excessive evaporation from the soil.</p><p>Let me know what YOU use it for! :-)</p><p>If you add this to your collection and/or download the model, please click the <strong>LIKE </strong>button and give it some <strong>STARS</strong>!</p><p>Also please post a make as I would enjoy seeing you get good use out of it - it would make my day! :-D</p><p><strong>Happy printing!</strong></p>
