With so many people buying the Remington MB 320C on Amazon, I was amazed that no one had created a simple stand for it before. This is just a straightforward stand for the trimmer. It holds the trimmer in an upright position as shown in the picture. The charger cable can be added to the bottom part so the trimmer can be charged while in the dock. With my print, it's simply held by friction, so I didn't see any need to add a screw. Your mileage may vary. The design process and more pictures can be found here: http://hawksnest.hexspace.de/articles/11 ## Printing To just hold the trimmer upright, the standtop_*.scad is sufficient. Since it has an overhang in the cutout for the bottom part, I made a version with easy-to-remove supports. Choose standtop_*_no_support.scad if you want to use your own supports or don't need them. Standbot_*.scad obviously holds the end of the charging cable. I have the German charger version, which has an angled connector. No supports are needed here. Both parts print in the orientation they will later be used in. The top could potentially also be printed upside down, but I didn't test that. ## Assembly 1. Put the charger cable in the hole in the top part, pressing it into the slot leading out to the edge. 2. Push in the bottom part. It should be held in by friction. If it doesn't go in, use a file on the long sides. 3. Put the trimmer in. Hitting the charger is a tiny bit fiddly, I know. 4. Plug it in. 5. Look at the charge indicator through the slit between the trimmer and holder from the top. The charge indicator should be visibly glowing if you made a proper connection. If I do a version two or one of you wants to remix this, here's what I feel is missing: - A window to look at the charge indicators - A recess to coil up the cable and store the wall wart when not in use I might get around to that later if there's enough interest. Since the grip shape is rather special, this will probably not work with many other beard trimmers. Although Remington makes some others with the same shape, such as the MB350L. If you own one of these and it fits, please leave a comment! You can look at the .scad and the link above for inspiration on how to create your own if you need a different shape. If you do print this, please post a make! [Edit 1: added link and reference to MB350L which probably fits]
