Remembrance Poppy Brooch
thingiverse
I've decided to dedicate some time this year to designing and printing a Poppy for Remembrance Day. I began with a Poppy flower model found on Tinkercad by Florist Fox, then squished it down to the desired size. At that size, I re-designed the flower's Stamen so they could be molded like the Hairy Lion by Primoz. The leaf was modeled from a line drawing discovered through a Google search. A Poppy Photograph and poppy drawing are owned by Getty Images and VectorStock respectively. Now, creating this defeats the purpose of the Poppy Appeal, so I kindly ask that anyone who prints and wears one of my poppies makes a donation to a Veterans Charity in their region: The Royal British Legion: https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/ways-to-give/make-a-donation The American Legion: https://www.legion.org/poppyday/give The Returned Services League Australia: https://poppyappeal.com.au The Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association: https://www.rsa.org.nz/donate In respect to the soldiers, sailors, and airmen from all countries who have lost their lives then and now. They shall grow not old as we who remain grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.
