The remnants of a seven-story pagoda stand at Yamashiro Kokubunji-Temple, a provincial temple that served Yamashiro province. Located in Kizugawa city, Kyoto, this site commemorates both the Yamashiro-Kokubunji Temple and the relocated Kuni-kyo Capital, which Emperor Shomu moved to Osaka in 744. Designated as a National Historic Site, these remains are comprised of foundation platforms and foundation stones. To grasp their significance, vivid 3D models of pillars and kumimono sections, crucial for supporting eaves, descend from the sky.
