My trusty Neewer 62" Aluminum tripod has been a faithful companion for years, but one small part gave in after all that time - the end cap on the riser tube. This tiny plastic insert does double duty as a holder for the stabilizer weight hook and a stopper to keep the riser tube from flying off the tripod. The original plastic piece was woefully too brittle for such heavy use, especially when I'd slam the tripod into place in a hurry.
