reloadable 35mm film can
thingiverse
To the manual reviewer, I submitted this as a learning tool with the intention of reducing costs associated with bulk loading my own film. Ultimately, film photography is an expensive hobby. My hope is that this will make more film photography students and teachers aware of the cost savings involved with bulk loading. By showing them how 3D printing can be more than just a prop-making tool in their arsenal, it can also serve as a practical and cost-saving alternative to traditional methods. Things You Will Need: The velvet from an empty film can may seem redundant, I know. However, if you're at the point where you're bulk loading your own film, you likely have several empty canisters lying around your house. All you need to do is slide the velvet through the slit where the film leaves the canister and glue the entrance on the outside perimeter. I will upload a video soon demonstrating this process. For now, look at how it's attached to the original film canister and attempt to replicate that using small dabs of super glue – emphasis on small.
