These are reliefs depicting the creation of Adam and Eve alongside figures of sibyls who possessed prophetic abilities. According to the Abrahamic creation myth, Adam and Eve were the initial man and woman, forming the foundation for humanity's unity as a single family tracing back to a pair of ancestral forebears. This narrative serves as the cornerstone for Christian beliefs surrounding the fall of mankind and original sin, though it does not apply to Judaism or Islam. The ancient Greeks revered sibyls as female oracles who received divine inspiration from deities at sacred sites such as Delphi and Pessinos, where chthonic deities initially held sway.
