The idyllic scene of a satyr and nymph perfectly integrated into the landscape is showcased with figures almost completely detached from the relief ground, surrounded by an elegant frame that highlights its decorative beauty. Typically found in theatre districts since the late Hellenistic period, these vibrant Dionysan decorative reliefs were created to adorn public spaces.
