Relief Tree Generator, Parametric
thingiverse
Created a trivial recursive tree relief generator in OpenSCAD for fun. Please be aware that above 10 iterations it will take a pretty long time to render. And it grows exponentially of course. :) Even the RAM may be insufficient if you go too far. So be careful and experiment with lower values first, to see how your PC copes with the load. 8 and 10 were bearable. You may play by changing the seed for the rands function and other parameters, as you like. I did not bother with the wall so you may need to adjust it for better proportions. (Last line in the code.) Horizontally it should print with no support. A standing piece would probably come out also fine without support but then the base area would need a brim for stability. Or you may increase the wall width (also in the last line). Update: I jave added v2 which grows from the bottom up so it will not change the remaining part if you add an iteration. Also printed it in CorkFill, pic added. Size is ~50*50mm, worked without support.
