Found in Rigillis Street, Athens. The three ancient slabs, adorned with vibrant Dionysiac motifs, once formed the elaborate revetment of an altar. Slab inv. no. 3497 showcases a majestic panther, standing proudly next to the radiant Dionysos, who grasps a thyrsos and a bowl in his hands. By his side stands a nude wine-pourer, completely absorbed in the ritual. To the right and left of Dionysos, two figures of winged Nike lead sacrificial bulls towards a glorious victory sacrifice, likely held after a dramatic contest. On slab inv. no. 3498, an energetic scene unfolds: Silenoi and Satyrs work together to make wine, with two individuals at the right and left steps tread grapes in ancient wine-presses. In the very centre, two others proudly carry a calyx krater overflowing with the freshly squeezed juice of the grapes.
