The Ishtar Gate, an 8th gate to Babylon's inner city, is now available for vibrant color printing and immersive VR/AR experiences. Built in around 575 BCE by King Nebuchadnezzar II on the north side of the city, The Ishtar Gate was a magnificent structure that stood proud. Excavated early in the 20th century, its original bricks were used to create a stunning reconstruction now showcased at Berlin's Pergamon Museum. Museums around the world are home to parts of this iconic gate and majestic lions from the Processional Way. Four museums have acquired dragons, while several others boast lions. Istanbul Archaeology Museum proudly displays lions, dragons, and bulls. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen showcases one lion, one dragon, and one bull. The Detroit Institute of Arts features a single dragon. Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, Sweden, boasts one dragon and one lion; the Louvre, State Museum of Egyptian Art in Munich, Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Oriental Institute in Chicago, Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven each have lions. Recently, Berlin's Vorderasiatisches Museum loaned one processional lion to the British Museum. In Iraq, a smaller reproduction of the gate was built under Saddam Hussein as an entrance to a museum still under construction. Unfortunately, damage has occurred since the war.
