Human: A sculpture depicting a bust of Saint Gregory is captured as a mature man dressed in attire that reveals his status as Pontiff, wearing a rain cloak, tiara, and gloves. The most striking feature of this image is the rich treatment of the clothing, particularly the rain cloak, which is polychromed with beautiful flowers and equipped with caps representing saints. On the chest, a reliquary opens up that originally housed some remains related to this saint. Said reliquary is adorned with a golden frame worked as a design tarjeta manierista, based on "ces" geometric shapes. By its stylistic characteristics (frontality, inexpresiveness, folds of clothing) and the type of moldings that configure the reliquary, it can be considered a representative piece of Seville's Mannerism from the late 16th to early 17th centuries.
