A statue depicting a bust of Saint Anthony Abad, captured in accordance with his traditional iconography, is depicted as an elderly man with long beards. He is dressed in his habit of a white tunic and brown cloak with a hood, which is richly embroidered with golden floral motifs. His left hand rests on the reliquary that opens in his chest, adorned with a golden frame featuring cut-out moldings; it likely contained some remains related to this saint originally. By its stylistic characteristics (frontality, lack of expression, folds of clothing, treatment of beards using small curls arranged symmetrically ...) and the type of moldings that configure the reliquary, it can be considered a representative piece of Seville's mannerism in late 16th-early 17th century.
