Relic FPV ImpulseRC Reverb Vtx + antenna bottom-plate mount
thingiverse
I designed this mount specifically to accommodate my IRC Tramp HV on the Reverb along with a 4-in-1 ESC. The official build video by FinalGlideAus, the Reverb's designer, uses separate ESCs on the arms and the official PDB, leaving ample space to mount the Tramp Vtx on the top plate. However, with a 4-in-1 ESC, there isn't enough room above the stack. I decided to mount the Tramp HV on the rear of the bottom plate, with the coax cable coming out of the front, and the coax cable looping 180° back so the Vtx antenna can come out the back as usual (see diagram). Since the Vtx is now on the bottom plate, the antenna needs to be attached to the bottom plate as well, allowing for easy top plate removal for servicing. This mount slips over the back standoffs and provides space for the Tramp Vtx to fit underneath the mount between the standoffs, looping the wires snugly around the back. Because the mount is split into two parts, you can mount/remove the Vtx and antenna as a unit, even the SMA connection is already tightened and shrinkwrapped. The Reverb design offers perfect slots for using double-sided foam tape and 2 zip ties to mount the Vtx on the bottom plate. It probably works fine with a TBS Unify too, as that Vtx is smaller. If you use it with a Unify, let me know if it fits well or not! **Key Features:** * Designed to allow the Tramp HV to be mounted on the bottom plate * Top plate has no wires or other connections to the bottom plate, so can be removed just by unbolting it * Split-halves design allows Vtx and antenna to be mounted without disconnecting them! * Leaves maximum room around standoffs to wedge Tramp HV as far back as possible * Allows use of 4-in-1 ESC and FC with 6mm standoffs and plenty of room for battery strap * Dense motor-packaging foam or adhesive foam tape can be used for padding between antenna and mount * Does not use finicky/fragile bolt-on system for pigtail: just grips the antenna shaft * Form-fitting curves specifically for Reverb frame, including matching notch on top * Large box structure for more strength even with sparse infill * Antenna tunnel is wider in middle to trap antenna nut, helping prevent fore/aft slippage * Flight- and crash-tested!
