Human: Relay socket and socket base for Princess Auto surplus relay SKU: 8825473 https://www.princessauto.com/en/detail/relay-120v/A-p8825473e I utilized Princess Auto's sku 8234817 quick connect terminals, minus the red heat shrink piece, as terminals in my 3D printed socket. I connected solid 14 AWG wire from the terminals to the screw terminals on the base piece using a soldering process. The assembly requires some effort but is feasible. I employed two #6-32 x 1.25" screws to secure both pieces to a mounting location and six #8-32 x .75" screws as connection terminals in the base. Before inserting the terminals into the socket, I squeezed their curls to achieve a snug grip on the relay's tab. Lateral holes through the socket enable strapping the relay down with a zip tie for added stability. In future projects, I plan to replace the base part with a printed circuit board and commercially acquired terminals to simplify the assembly process. This project may serve as a useful reference for someone looking to create a custom relay setup.
