Since my Hotbed plug is burnt, I decided to purchase a Solid State Relay (SSR) for a more secure connection and short circuit protection. The SSR allows for easier control of electricity and has a current capacity of 30 amperes with a voltage range of 1.5-50 VDC. To install the SSR, I first bought one from this link: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Solid-State-Relais-SSR-Gleichstromrelais-30-Ampere-Lastschaltung-1-50-VDC-/300673589597?pt=Elektromechanische_Bauelemente&hash=item46018ae15d. After printing the cover, I carefully clipped it on to avoid any fast movements that could damage the components.
